Reflection 1

The English composition class I take this year is quite different from the ones I have had. One of the main reason is that we have to set up our own websites for the compositions we wrote, and get feedbacks from the students from NCUE. Since I have never set my own website like this before, it is a new and adventurous experience for me. Moreover, I learned a lot from creating my own e-portfolio, it is also an interesting way for students to showcase our writing works. It is a way of learning that makes you look forward to it.

  Sometimes I run into troubles while setting the website pages or arranging things on the site, but most of the time it is simple and easy to work with. Whenever I have technical issues, I would search for informations on the Wix website and try to over come them by myself. So far I overcame all the problems I had on my own, it could be seen that this is a really simple website for beginners.

  The way that writing e-portfolio has impact on my writings would probably be that I tend to think more of the readers’ reactions and thoughts. I would try to come up with journals that might be  interesting for the NCUE students, and hope they would find them fun or even want to read more. On the other compositions, I would also consider more when it comes to paragraph arrangements and writing skills.

  Overall, on the e-portfolio, I think that the TA has helped me a lot. She taught us lots of things, such as setting up webpages, composition arrangements, and also gave me many advice when I needed them. I could clearly know what I need to do to make my composition page better from her feedbacks.
