An Unexpected Encounter

It was a sunny Autumn afternoon, my friends and I decided to go for a trip at the central Chiayi City. After getting lunch, we march on to the dessert shop. It was at then that I saw two tiny black fur balls on the sideways by an elementary school. As I got closer to take a better look, those two fur balls turned out to be a couple of tiny, skinny kittens!

I have never seen kittens so young and so small, but they happened to be fearless of people, and ran all the way to play with me. After staying with them for a while, it seemed like they were abandoned by their mother and were having fleas all over their bodies. Without any experience with cats, I wrapped them up in my coat and asked the convenience store for a paper box to carry them in. We took the kittens to a near by vet to get them checked up, cleaned up and also bought some cat food.

The vet said that they were about forty days old, and that I had to foster them to find them a forever home. At the time I was still living in the college’s dorm, so I had no choice but to sneak them into the dorm. Luckily, all my roommates love cats so they had no problem with having two adorable little kittens around. My roommates and I took care of the kittens for five days before we found the perfect adopters. I wish we could spend more time together but I know that we could not keep them in our dorm for long, so it was a right decision to make.

In those five days of fostering, it was right on our school’s anniversary, so we took them to some of our anniversary activities. We brought them to the cheerleading contest, the running contest, and also watched fireworks together. The kittens are super lovable and cuddly, they would try to snuggle on your shoulder and fall asleep by your side every night. They would also jump up to your lap while we are studying at the desk. They are truly the most people-loving cats I have ever met.

Although they were super cute, we couldn’t keep them for a long time. I managed to find two wonderful adopters that were willing to keep them, so we set apart after those five memorable days. Even after a year that I gave them away, I still think of the time we spent together from time to time.

😊I love cats sooooo much😍but I can't keep them if it happened to me.😥 It is really warm to see you help take care of them even under a situation which you couldn't keep them for a long time. I think the two kittens will remember you even after leaving your hugs, and I hope the new owners will treat them well like you did.

It's a warmhearted story for you and us. How poor the kittens are! Hope that they can find a new adopter soon. I think they will be adopted quickly if you post on net. Who can insist these cute creatures?

This must be the most memorable memory in your college life. Those kittens are just so adorable that I even want to hug them in my arms. It is so kind and generous of you to help those kittens with food, water, and even new owners. Though you and the kittens have only a few days to get along with, I think they will always remember you for the rest of their lifetime.
